I went from this giant and inaccurate monstrosity

To this little bad boy

Aren't they cute!? Bad news is it looks like my old scales were rather generous! I measured out my usual amount of porridge oats and it was such a teeny tiny portion! Oh well, hopefully I'll see some better weight loss results now I'm recording things more accurately!
On the subject of new things, look what the wonderful Caroline sent me!

She wasn't getting on too well with the Maxitone Sculptress shakes but still had two unopened tubs and after she saw that I was using them she asked if I wanted them :) Thank you Caroline!
And on the subject of lovely people, I got this amazing box of goodies from the people at Natural Balance Foods

Plus some extra Gluten Free Nakd bars for three lucky readers - look out for the giveaway coming soon!

And the good people at Bear

sent me some of their natural and healthy snacks to try out

I'm thinking the packs of Granola will make excellent cinema snacks since it's a big filled with tasty nibbles. Also, did you know... there are more chickens than people in the world! Is anyone else a little freaked out by that?
I don't have a very interesting food update for you, I spent a lot of the weekend eating porridge as I was trying to get a good photo for my blog background (yes I'm messing about with my blog again!)
Playing with my new kitchen toy...

Porridge porn!

I stopped by Holland & Barratt on Saturday and picked up some cartons of almond & hazelnut Rice Dream, perfect for a Peppermint Latte! (in a blurry mug)

Today's packed lunch - I decided to start making a proper effort with food to take to work again - I've planned out the next couple of weeks already!

More on that later, I'm off to watch the final episode of Undercover Princesses in BBC iPlayer - I love this, I just noticed it was on yesterday, sadly there are only 4 episodes in the series :( It's nowhere near as funny as Undercover Princes was, but the girls seem to have had a bit more luck than the boys did, I just really hope Cinderella's family can accept Paul!
The bear products are really nice, I was sent some recently! The granola nibbles are totally lush and the fruit yoyos are perfect for a sweet tooth!
ReplyDeleteI just got a big box of conscious chocolate and it's not stopped calling my name yet - aaarrrgghh!
You are more than welcome! Thanks for the lovely compliment :)
ReplyDeleteI love your new scales. So colourful. Absolutely fab!
Caroline xx
My kitchen table looks like that too, piled high with lunch boxes full of yummy stuff for work. I find its much easier being able to stick to healthier choices when I plan ahead like that. Loving that mug too!
ReplyDeleteOooh I love the gluten free nakds, they're my favourite, the cocoa orange flavour is amazing!
ReplyDeleteLove the picture of your packed lunch mountain - I always get funny looks at work for my huge pile of food on my desk; bananas, tangerines, salad and in my tuck box in my desk drawer; beef jerky, cereal bars, pistachio nuts, seed and nut clusters, yogurt coated banana chips... not that I'm a skinny minnie, but people don't get how I eat so much and aren't huge :) Planning, planning, planning and never letting yourself get hungry!
ReplyDeleteNew scales are really cool too!
It is a lot easier - my work is a terrible place for trying ot lose weight! We have a starbucks with amazing, and huge and cheap, cakes and tray bakes and they do really nice (cheese filled) panini's too and there's crisps and chocolates...and then there's the canteen too - I just avoid that but need to walk past Starbucks all the time - torture!
ReplyDeleteI love that mug - my mum bought me if for Christmas when she stopped over in Hong Kong on her wat to Australia (I think!) so it's well travelled :)
I like the sound of that Conscious chocolate but haven't got round to trying it yet.
ReplyDeleteIt is, I could easily eat a whole box of just the cocoa orange!
ReplyDeleteOh I always get a hard time and funny looks for the food mountain on my desk! My top drawer is food and tea bag drawer!
ReplyDeleteI'd forgotten about beef jerky! I have 2 bags of biltong in the cupboard that are perfect for snacking!
I love your new scales. The bright colours are fab. I have a "manual" scales tucked away on top of a cupboard but I always try and keep a stash of batteries on hand because I hate being without my digital scales. I'm trying to be a bit more relaxed about measuring things but I use I still use it most days.
ReplyDeleteCocoa orange are delish! I limit them to the odd one though because they are expensive and they never send me freebies so I don't feel so kindly disposed to them ;)
