Putting Pears on Burgers

Is one of the Google search terms that brought someone to my blog today  - I'm intrigued. Think I may have to try it... but it sounds so wrong! Could be a waste of a good burger.

Back to food I have actually eaten!

The weekend wasn't exactly healthy - but it was a lot of fun and I ate a lot of tasty food! My mum and John decided to come visit us for an impromptu picnic on the beach! We had posh cheese on oatcakes, BBQ sausages, Cava (with strawberries from my mum and John's garden!) and rain, followed by real coffee and trifle, then a walk on the wet and foggy beach! It's my first BBQ of the "summer" and even though it was raining and we needed umbrellas it was brilliant! Then we all went out for dinner :D We headed to Pizza Express and ordered 4 pizzas to share. No pudding but I did have a couple of large glasses of my favourite pinot grigio blush. I would gladly do this every weekend! Thank you mum and John!!

I haven't been very good with photographing food since I've been so disorganised but I'll do a quick run through of todays food then I'm off to play with Photoshop.

Quick and dirty protein shake for breakfast - due to sleeping in

Some cherries to help see me through to lunch

Salad with mange tout, courgette

carrot, spring onion

spinach, little gem

tuna and sweet chilli sauce

I do love salads, but it took me 50 minutes to eat this! I'm so painfully slow at eating salad for some reason, sandwiches tend to be gone in seconds which leaves me feeling "hungry" soon after, if I'm eating a salad for an hour I can't think about more food!

Left over picnic strawberries in the afternoon - they were on the turn so mega sweet and juicy, love berries when they are about to go off!

And my favourite dinner - prawn pad thai! I had this for dinner yesterday too, I just can't get enough!

Sorry about the colour, it looked much better but I was too impatient to fiddle with camera settings :D
