Going Greek

Hello blogland! How are you? I hope everyone is good?

I can't believe I haven't blogged for such a long time! I was away last weekend then spent the week catching up on work and sleep and then this weekend just absolutely flew by! Tonight is the first time I haven't felt sleepy in ages so I thought I would take this opportunity to catch up a little bit. I have just about caught up on all my blog reading now _ I'm sorry I haven't been commenting, I've been using my blog reader on my iphone and it's a bit awkward commenting through that.

I'm only going to do a little catch up, I don't want to bother with a full catch up of everything I ate because mostly it was quick, unattractive, unphotographed or unhealthy - or all of the above! I haven't done too badly though, either that or my scales took pity on me. I'm pretty sure my weight has gone down a little (soooooo much walking!) but I'll find out for sure at Weight Watchers on Thursday.

Something that has feature pretty heavily over the last week is Greek yogurt! The wonderful Total were kind enough to send me an enormous box of Greek yogurt to try out, along with some lovely sounding recipes.

I'm really enjoying working my way through this stash, such a treat! I'm loving the full fast - so rich and creamy.

I'll just quickly share some of my yogurt bowls that I did photograph with you

This ones is so quick and easy and tastes amazing!Just full fat Greek yogurt with maple syrup and cocoa, berry and flax mix.

(You'll have to excuse my photos - I just got some close-up/macro filters for my camera and have been doing a lot of playing and extreme close-ups!)

I really, really, really want to eat this right now! More full fat yogurt with a Graze mix of raisins and white chocolate drops - chewy, creamy, sticky with a bit of chocolate crunch!

Black forest gateaux style! Cocoa, berry & flax mix with warm cherries....

Yogurt, cinnamon, maple syrup (addicted!!), apple and oat snack bar - so much goodness in one little bowl! I'm hoping to improve on it soon though by using cinnamon, raisins, whole oats, fresh apple and maple syrup in full fat Greek. I can't wait!

The only downside with all this Greek yogurt, how will I cope when it's gone??

Are you a yogurt fan? What's your favourite way to eat it?

  4. Love those yoghurt bowls, such good ideas for add ins! I must try some with maple syrup before I run out. Those spelt wraps are fine made up the night before and kept in the fridge for lunch. I had one with hummus and veggies for lunch and it was lush!

  5. Mmmm... toasted almonds - I'll need to remember that, thanks Anon!

That's good to know Laura, my local Sainsburys stocks spelt flour so I'm thinking of trying the wraps at the weekend.
